Orders, Returns & Delivery

Orders

All prices are in Australian Dollars. Prices shown include GST. International orders are adjusted to remove the tax from the price when going through the checkout and will show as an order discount. Goods in stock will be sent within one business day. Items that are not in stock will be indicated on the website. If an item is not in stock generally it will take between 2-5 business days and in some cases 4 weeks for that item to be supplied. Special Order items (as indicated on the product) may take 6-8 weeks for us to get in if it is showing as Out of Stock.

Postage and Delivery

House Of Yarn sends all orders via Australia Post. Delivery charges are calculated based on weight and location. We recommend you request insurance at the time of placing your order as we cannot be held responsible for missing or damaged goods in transit.

Free Local Delivery

For customers living in the immediate vacinity of Modbury, South Australia we offer free delivery. The postcodes we deliver to are 5075, 5089, 5090, 5091, 5092, 5093, 5096, 5097, 5109, 5125, 5126 & 5131. If your delivery address contains one of these postcodes and it is your place of residence, when you go through the checkout please write in the notes free delivery. We will then contact you by phone to arrange delivery and will refund you any delivery charges. 

Australian Deliveries

If you would like your delivery to be fully insured by Australia Post select Regular Parcel Post and request Registered Post in the notes when you review and place your order. This will compensate you up to $100 or you can request Registered Post with Extra Cover to the value of your order. The cost of these options will be in addition to the delivery charges shown on your order. We will inform you of how much this will be after you have placed your order.

International Deliveries

We currently ship internationally to New Zealand, USA, Canada and parts of Europe, Asia, South Africa and the Middle East. If we do not currently ship to your destination please contact us and we will add it. 

If you would like your delivery to be fully insured by Australia Post select Air Mail or Express Post and request extra cover to the value of your order in the notes when you review and place your order. The cost of this option will be in addition to the delivery charges shown on your order. We will inform you of how much this will be after you have placed your order.

Returns Policy

Your satisfaction is important to us.  Please inspect the goods on their arrival and if you are not happy with your purchase or goods are defective, please contact us within 5 days of delivery. We can not accept any returns without prior discussion via e-mail or telephone with our office. Due to the nature of print stock (Patterns, Books & Magazines) we can not accept returns so please choose carefully. We gladly accept returns of Yarn and Needles for exchange or refund provided the goods are in as new condition. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning goods.
